Last minute Tuesday, Nov 21 2006

It is cold and wet here. The rain is coming down in sheets and the wind is making it hit you directly in the face.. In the meantime me and my sisters are getting last minute supplies for Thanksgiving. Nothing like unloading groceries and getting hit in the face with 40 degree rain. Whew!! Refreshing.

Rambling Thursday, Nov 9 2006

Where do I start.. I love being in North Carolina in the fall. The leaves are beautiful. I will say it doesn’t last long though. One day a tree with be magnificent and the next day it is completely bare.

This weekend we went to the international festival in Raleigh. It was so cool. They have booths set up with the diffrent nationalities of food. They had Italian, Japanese, Napali, Dutch, Iranian, Indian, Polish and tons of others. We ended up eating Iranian and Japanese. The kids wanted “noodles”. Then on a big stage they had entertainment based on diffirent cultures, belly dancing etc… It was really neat. For dessert we ended up getting these donuts called Ollie Bollen, Loosely translated to grease balls. Rachel said, “Yum, I like these, it has butter in it. ” Ha..

I’m in over my head Wednesday, Nov 1 2006

What a week. My little girl turned 7 today.. OH my.. I can’t have a 7 year old. We threw Natalie a Halloween Pizza party. We invited our neighbors and friends, had pizza and cake and then went trick or treating. It was cool, but I knew some people that came didn’t think it was a good idea..OH well let it go.. The only problem is I’m such a pleaser and it does bother me. One person was like we need to go soon or it will be dark.. I rushed the kids out to go trick or treating and another mom says, “its not 6:00 We can’t go now.” I can’t win!! I think the kids had an o.k. time but I’m not doing it again next year. I’m exhausted. I am so drained that when the song ‘Everyone knows I’m in over my head ‘ came on the radio I started crying.
